Enough of the world’s tragic and heart-breaking news. My soul feels like it has almost bled out. Instead I want to focus on the haziness of summer, when the lawn mowers sound as comforting as the splash of swimmers in pools and the lazy buzz of bumble bees nuzzling my potted flowers. Summer! Heat, cool drinks, poolside books and occasionally hanging out with the people that keep us sane. The best time of the year. I have been neglecting my writing, except for quickly scribbling down excerpts and notes as the muse hits me. I have an embarrassing stack of them that I have yet to mold into a story, but they just keep coming.
