Marched right on!

Wow, so march just walked right over me. Just like that a month has gone by! I have been creative and doing artsy things, especially writing down little bits of scenes that pop into my head. Soon, I hope to weave this into my stories and out to my loyal readers. I hope you got to enjoy it. April is here, but today is a day of reckoning in more ways than one for every American, but specifically Black ones. Black lives matter. AAPI lives matter. Anyone breathing life matters. Whatever uniform, gang affiliation, or religious cloth we put on after we are naked is another story and something that sometime we use as a shield. Whether we straighten our hair, curl it, chose to love someone –anyone! — or to live alone with our thoughts and our nature, then so be it. But all our lives matter! It’s so simple. Don’t be afraid of what you don’t understand. It can be an good, clean adventure to simple try to learn something from a culture or person that you don’t think you can relate to. Just choose one thing to try to sympathize or empathize with. It will make you glow inside. We need that more than ever. Be kind, be fair, be good. Or at least try. Try hard. Trying counts. I’ll stop my sermon here and wish you all well. Remember that when you need an escape, dive into a book, let the pages hold you in its secrets, and enjoy living there for a while. But when you return to this crazy, lovely world, take a deep breath, be brave, and try to do better. 🙂 Much love,

DD
